Our philosophy is to create effective, all natural products inspired by nature, that utilize essential oils to enhance your health, beauty and well-being.  We believe essential oils are nature’s gift, freely given for us to harness their intrinsic value and to then share their amazing benefits!  We think that the items you use and surround youself with should inspire your mind, revitalize your body, excite your spirit and enhance both your home and the environment.

As the owner of Pure Botanicals,  I have spent the past 14 years commercially growing lavender, harvesting and processing it into essential oil.  I was a founding member of Winding Brook Estate, a lavender farm in Eureka, Missouri.  I have been studying and researching the curative power of plants for many years.  Utilizing the experience and knowledge I gained, I created a line of effective, natural lavender skin care, home care and aromatherapy products for our farm’s retail store. I am continuing this endeavor with Pure Botanicals. I simply like to educate and then let the individual discover the wonder of essential oils.

Our products are handcrafted in small batches to insure maximum freshness. We use only the finest top quality ingredients (many organic, when available) and therapeutic steam distilled lavender and other essential oils.  Our manufacturing processes conform to the strictest quality standards.

We are proud to say that our products contain NO parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate, formaldehyde, petroleum products or phthalates, artificial colors, scents or fragrance oils, fillers, mineral oil, or propylene glycol.  We use the best of what nature has to offer to bring you the finest personal care, aromatherapy, culinary and home products. You’ll be able to tell the difference and your body and our environment will thank you for it!

We know that a healthy and vibrant life extends beyond the products that you use.  So, we’re focused on wellness, inspiration and vitality to assist you in achieving a balanced lifestyle.

Lavender has more uses than any other plant known in the Western world.

The widespread use over the centuries is no accident.  It has an amazing number of inherent natural properties that are responsible for its widespread deployment in so many cultures.  Lavender has been used throughout history to enhance health, beauty and well-being.  Its healing and therapeutic qualities are well documented.  This unique, fresh, clean scent appeals to all ages – both male and female.  It is also safe for children and pets.

Lavender is so much more than just a superb fragrance.

It is one of the very few herbs with culinary uses across the entire food spectrum from sweet to savory.  Discover how you can use Lavender as a culinary herb in your own kitchen by visiting our About Lavender page.

The remarkable versatility of this herb benefits you in multiple ways.

It can be applied topically, inhaled or used to flavor food and drink. Which method you use depends on what you’re trying to achieve in either health, beauty or well-being.

For example if you are needing a goods night sleep, then you would want to inhale the lavender.  By doing so, you break the blood brain barrier causing the molecules to change brain chemistry which in turn alters brain waves to those for sleep and relaxation.  Many studies have confirmed lavender’s benefits for aiding with insomnia, but it also helps you get to the deeper more restorative levels of sleep.

The most popular uses for lavender are for:

“Love doesn’t die with death. Love is like liquid; when it pours out, it seeps into others’ lives. Love changes form and shape. Love gets into everything. Death doesn’t conquer all; love does. Love wins every single time. Love wins by lasting through death. Love wins by loving more, loving again, loving without fear.”
